If the acquired work is collected by the purchaser before the end of this period, the risks and responsibilities are transferred on this occasion.
If the acquired work is exhibited or loaned by the gallery, the risks are nevertheless transferred to the purchaser by the end of the 30 day period following the end of the exhibition or loan.
The purchaser’s rights to the work are limited to private usage rights except in the case of express prior permission from the gallery or the artist. This sale therefore does not entail in any way the transferal of moral, reproduction, representation, or adaptation rights pertaining to the acquired work, of which the artist remains sole proprietor.
This sale is subject to French law; in case of dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, it will be brought before the appropriate courts in Paris.
